Lisa Owens

Teaching at the intersection of practice, place, and perception

Lisa Owens is a yoga and Ayurveda educator rooted in the Himalayan Tradition, where practice is a way of seeing as much as a way of moving. She teaches the inner mechanisms of perception, seasonal rhythm, and the fire of discernment.

Her work meets practitioners where they are, guiding them toward clarity, steadiness, and embodied wisdom.

Lisa Owens is a yoga and Ayurveda educator trained within the Himalayan Tradition, teaching domestically and internationally since 2010 across studios, retreats, tourism, and professional training environments. She shares her work selectively, prioritizing presence, integrity, and the quality of the teaching environment over constant online visibility. Her teaching integrates movement, breath, seasonal awareness, and perceptual inquiry, helping practitioners understand not only how to practice, but why practice works.

Her professional background includes ERYT-500 certification, recognition as an Ayurveda Yoga Therapist, and NAMA certification as an Ayurvedic Health Counselor, alongside a B.A. in Psychology. This combination informs a teaching style that is both grounded and precise, balancing philosophical depth with practical application.

In addition to her teaching work, Lisa brings more than 20 years of experience in fitness tourism, contributing strong skills in group leadership, retreat operations, and participant care. She is known for creating environments that are calm, organized, and attentive—whether in studios, institutional settings, or immersive retreat contexts.

Lisa’s current teaching offerings include alignment-informed vinyasa, embodiment of seasonal resilience practices, crystal singing bowl sound experiences, seasonal rhythm in asana, and accessible Ayurveda education for practitioners and teachers. Across all settings, her work emphasizes clarity, rhythm, steadiness, and the cultivation of discernment through embodied experience.
