Frequently asked questions
Classes and workshops are designed to be relatable to everyone - at least that what we're going for in terms of communicating & providing experiences offering amazingly helpful tools to take home - no gimmicks or fads. Just practices and experience connecting to nature of yourself, your food, the world and people around you.
This is important.
It's an agreement, not a statement. When deciding to commit to a retreat or training, you are agreeing to show up committed to expanding growth-mindset from a perspective of developing respect, patience, greater understanding, and compassion for yourself and the world around you. Practicing this is foundational to a yoga practice...Notice all the uses of "practice"...it is intentional.
Willing to learn is the agreement.
Hi, yea...good question of course. It can be nerve wracking to be in a steady, silent-type environment you've invested a lot of money, time, resources in general and worry about distractions, interrupting others others interrupting you, needing a rest break, not being up for an activity, or want an alternate option, need the speaker to speak louder or such a variety of scenarios, travel alterations, health needs and so forth...
We are all deciding to trust that we want to be attentive, immersed, putting the phones and devices and ..immersed in the experience...but life is there and we're leaving behind various important householder duties, family, and work stuff to be here in nature. Or maybe your learning style or body necessitates some modifications - no problem at all.
Therefore, please do not be nervous about your needs. Tell your loved ones and work associates you'll be away. But when you're needed, you're needed. It's all good. I hope this is helpful. We'll get to know you after you book and ensure retreat staff are meeting your needs.
How many participants are at each retreat?
Our retreats are designed as intimate, boutique gatherings. Most venues host no more than 12 bedrooms, with up to double occupancy. Even when a location can host more guests, we intentionally cap the core group at around 12 participants to preserve a personal, connected atmosphere. If additional guests can be comfortably accommodated without changing that feel, select activities are offered in smaller, parallel groups, so every guest enjoys the same level of space and attention.
